Princess Daisy is a recurring character in the Mario franchise. She rules the kingdom of Sarasaland.
She first appeared in Super Mario Land in 1989, where she played the role of the damsel-in-distress, usually awarded to Princess Peach. Later, she is found in many series derived from the universe of Mario.
Courageous and outgoing by nature, she is described as a tomboy who does not give way and knows how to defend herself on her own. Her personality is very different from that of her best friend, Princess Peach. She also seems to have a reciprocal love for Luigi.
